2012 Spring Yard Waste Collection
Some reminders for residents for the 2012 spring yard waste collection:
Memorial Day parade
The Allied Veterans Committee, in conjunction with the City of West Allis, will sponsor a Memorial Day parade on Monday, May 28, 2012. The parade will step off promptly at 10:00 a.m. and a memorial service will follow the parade at approximately 11:00 a.m.
New Materials Accepted for Recycling
West Allis residents who have recycling picked up by the City can now include #4 and #5 plastics in their blue bag. This is for containers or lids that have a #4 or #5 on them and also any caps and rings. It does not include any type of bags.

FREE Showerhead at Hazardous Waste Collection
The first 500 customers to use the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District’s (MMSD) Household Hazardous Waste Collection at State Fair Park this Friday and Saturday will get a FREE, 1.5 gallon per minute showerhead.
