New Materials Accepted for Recycling
West Allis residents who have recycling picked up by the City can now include #4 and #5 plastics in their blue bag. This is for containers or lids that have a #4 or #5 on them and also any caps and rings. It does not include any type of bags.

FREE Showerhead at Hazardous Waste Collection
The first 500 customers to use the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District’s (MMSD) Household Hazardous Waste Collection at State Fair Park this Friday and Saturday will get a FREE, 1.5 gallon per minute showerhead.
2011 Fall Yard Waste Collection
Residents may place yard waste materials such as flowers, vines, weeds, thatch, garden debris and leaves into the curb line of the street for collection from Sunday, September 18, through Sunday, November 13, 2011. Do not place materials in the curb line at any other time.
