To her step-daughter:

I wish you could see the sunlight when it hits his face.
I wish you could see the lines as a smile comes across his face.
I wish you would know the man who gave you first love.
I wish you could see his heart and all its love.
I wish for you all your dreams to come true.
I wish you the stars and the moon and sun from above.
They hold countless moments, memories, and energies of his love.
I wish you could see the glimmer in his eye, when he thinks he just passed you by.
I wish you truth in what you say, because he only speaks of you that way.
I wish you could see through your own eyes, he is the one who has been here for you with no lies.
I wish you knew how proud he is to have a daughter he calls his.
Even though you may feel you are worlds apart, all you have to do is look into your heart.
He knows the unjust you have brought to his name, yet he carries his head without any shame.
There is a special place you will always have in his heart.
Regardless of what your mind may say, he is here for you come what may.
There may be shadowed words from the past - remember they were all said in love, which forever will last.
I wish for you to one day understand, no matter what happens, he will always be here to hold your hand.
You may have thought I tried to step in your way, my goodness honey, I only tried to pave the way.
I wished for you from day one, your heart would never feel what it was like to be without someone.
I wished upon many stars, you would never stray so far out of reach.
Most of all I wished you would never have to compete.
There is no competition when it comes to a father's love.
God gave it to us from above.
I may have made some mistakes in your eyes, yet its my tears for you I cry.
I know what it is like not to have that one, who when you were little rose with the sun.
I wish you will come to understand, it is you he holds in his heart.
It may be a concept you will never comprehend.
Daddy's wear invisible strings on their fingers.
To remind them every day how precious you are.
You may push him away...he will never be far.
Unconditional is the love his blue eyes always bring.
Especially when he speaks of you and all of your childhood dreams.
Baby girl, I wish for you one final thing, don't let anyone get in the way of knowing a sure, pure, and unique kind of love...
Your Daddy loves you, the rest of are just material things.
 
I will always love you, care what happens to you, and be here for you. I don't know anything different, nor do I want to.
Forever in my heart, you will always be my daughter.
May God guide you, and his angels protect you.

A Tribute to Our Special Forces

August 6, 2011 the ultimate sacrifice was made by "22 SEALs, three Air Force combat controllers and a dog handler and his dog." Though the families' names have not been released, I am paying honor to the the soldiers & praying for their families as they go through an incredibly emotional and devastating time in their lives.
